On 18th of March 2023 the working group of the Guerilla University and the former and current artists and researchers in residence at the Orangeries de Bierbais, met with the French philosopher Jacques Rancière at the Kulturakademiet in Paris. The gathering was initiated and organized by the PhD In One Night/ Laboratory for Radical Peace in residence at the Orangeries de Bierbais, in order to discuss the (Hypo)theses on Sensible Intelligence, a collective text consisting of 30 ideas/statements written by the residents, and inspired by the work of Jacques Rancière. This collective act of thinking and writing – putting the collective intelligence in practice – presents an attempt to reconfigure the private domain and historical English garden built in 1828 by the German/Dutch architect Charles-Henri Petersen (also the architect of the Botanical garden in Brussels, designed in 1830), a place envisioned and established under the colonial laws and regimes, now entering a new period The reconfiguration of this place is thought under new protocols of work and collective influences, relating the Orangeries de Bierbais with the theses from Rancière’s s book “The Time of the Landscape: On the Origins of the Aesthetic Revolution'' (2020). The gathering in Paris consisted of several interventions: introductory notes, presentation of the ”Green braids” action in Rojava, collective reading of the (Hypo)theses on the Sensible Intelligence, the response and interventions by Jacques Rancière, musical interventions, poetry readings, and finalized with a collective zoom discussion between (Kurdish part of) Iraq, Croatia, Brazil, Rojava, and Poland. The speakers included Slobodan Golubović, Elisabetta Cuccero, Gulistan Sido, Jacques Rancière, Ivana Momčilović, Alexandra van Laeken, Camille Rancière, Kosta Jakic, Pedro Hussak, Mansour Taifouri, Leonardo Kovačević, Erdem Gunduz, Anders Fjeld. The event on the 18th of March was dedicated to the Kurdish action of planting four million trees in the Rojava desert, in the middle of the war and, in continuation with it, to the action of planting lives of peace in Orangeries de Bierbais. Olives of peace were planted in Bierbais on 1st of March 2022, by the Kurdish representatives Gulistan Sido, Mensur Taifouri and friends, a gesture repeated on the 29th of September by Mansour Teifouri and friends, including Jacques Rancière, within the frame of “Les Temps du Paysage'' – a one-day multidisciplinary gathering, and a day of aesthetic cartography of situations. All materials from these gatherings – as well as the one announced at the Academie des arts visuels of Molenbeek in Brussels (late 2023 or beginning of 2024) – will serve as the basis for a publication dedicated to the Guerilla University, as the specific, self-organized form of sharing of knowledge based on unexplanation, self-learning, indisciplinarity and aesthetic education. Guerilla d’university is a program ( proposed by PhD In One Night, in collaboration with the action “Tresses vertes”/ Rojava University (temporary free territory in Kurdish Autonomous Region of Northern Syria) and Orangeries de Bierbais.

Hello everyone, welcome to one more session of Guerilla University, on the initiative of PhD In One Night international platform of esthetic experimentation for all in collaboration this time with Laboratory for Radical Peace our temporary residency in Orangeries of Bierbais in Belgium, Fondation La Nacelle. We would like to thank Anders Fjeld and Norwegian Kultur Academy for hosting us and Kino Amateur Klub Zagreb who provided us access to professional zoom. Tnx Jacques Ranciere for being with us today as on 20th October 2020 when we started GU in a covid time with self-organised Rojava University, one among several Universities whose Kurdish population opened in Northern Syria in free temporary territories inhabited with Kurdish population in the middle of perpetual war. Finally thanks Gulistan Sido, at the time coordinator of Rojava University today a PhD student of oral Kurdish literature in Paris to be with us today. We are dedicating today's intervention day to our Kuridsh friends , one more time confronted in the last earthquakes in Turkey and Syria which caused a big loss of their families.

A Paris le 18 mars, à l'initiative de PhD In One Night/Laboratoire pour la Paix Radicale en résidence aux Orangeries de Bierbais, le groupe de travail de Guérilla Université et les résidents des Orangeries ont rencontré le philosophe français Jacques Rancière. Le groupe a débattu, au Kultur Académie Nirvegien, des (Hypo)thèses sur l'Intelligence Sensible, un texte collectif comprenant 30 idées/énoncés/ écrits par les résidents, et inspirés des travaux de Jacques Rancière. Cet acte collectif de réflexion et d'écriture, mettant en pratique l'intelligence collective, présente une tentative de reconfiguration du domaine privé et jardin historique anglais construit en 1828 par l'architecte germano-néerlandais Charles-Henri Petersen (également architecte du Jardin botanique de Bruxelles en 1830), lieu constitué sous les lois et régimes coloniaux, en annonçant une nouvelle période : reconfiguration de ce lieu sous les nouveaux protocoles de travail et d'influences collectives en le connectant avec des thèses du livre « Temps du paysage » de J.Rancière. Le rassemblement à Paris a consisté en plusieurs interventions : textes d’introduction, présentation des Tresses Vertes/ l’action de Rojava, lecture collective des (Hypo)thèses sur l'Intelligence Sensible , la réponse et les interventions de Jacques Rancière, interventions musicales, lectures de poésie, et fut finalisé par une discussion zoom collective entre (la partie kurde de) l'Irak, Croatie, Brésil, Rojava et Pologne. Parmi les intervenants figuraient, Slobodan Golubović, Jacques Rancière, Ivana Momčilović, Elisabetta Cuccero, Gulistan Sido, Alexandra van Laeken, Camille Rancière, Kosta Jakic, Pedro Hussak, Mansour Taifouri, Leonardo Kovacevic, Erdem Gunduz, Anders Fjeld. L'événement du 18 mars était dédié à l'action kurde de plantation de quatre millions d'arbres dans le désert du Rojava au milieu de la guerre ainsi que au prolongement de cette action par plantation d'oliviers de la paix dans les Orangeries de Bierbais, par Gulistan Sido, Mensur Taifouri et les amis (1er mai 2022) et le 29 septembre par Mansour Taifouri et les amis, y compris Jacques Rancière. Le matériel de ce rassemblement ainsi que les précédents de Guérilla University ainsi que les matériaux du rencontre prochain, annoncé à l'Académie des arts visuels de Molenbeek à Bruxelles (fin 2023 ou début 2024) serviront de matériel pour une publication consacrée à Guerilla University, comme la forme spécifique, auto-organisé de partage de savoirs dédié à désexplicaton, auto-apprentissage, indisciplinarité, education esthétique. Guerilla Université fut proposé par PhD In One Night, en collaboration avec l’action “Tresses vertes »/Rojava Université (territoire libre temporaire, zone autonome kurde du nord de Syrie) en 2020/ 2021, continuant en Autriche (2021) et prolongent les activités aux Orangeries de Bierbais (2022/ 2023).

Bonjour à tous, bienvenue à une session de plus de Guérilla University, à l'initiative de PhD In One Night plateforme internationale d'expérimentation esthétique pour tous en collaboration cette fois avec Laboratoire pour la Paix Radical notre résidence temporaire aux Orangeries du Bierbais en Belgique, Fondation La Nacelle. Nous tenons à remercier Anders Fjeld et la Norwegian Kultur Académie de Paris, de nous avoir accueillis ainsi que le Kino Amateur Klub Zagreb qui nous a donné accès à un zoom professionnel. Merci Jacques Rancière d'être avec nous aujourd'hui comme le 20 octobre 2020 lorsque nous avons inauguré Guérilla University à l’époque covid avec l'Université auto-organisée de Rojava, l'une parmi plusieurs universités dont la population kurde a ouvert dans le nord de la Syrie dans des territoires temporaires libres habités par la population kurde au milieu de guerre perpétuelle. Merci enfin à Gulistan Sido, à l'époque coordinatrice de l'Université du Rojava aujourd'hui doctorante en littérature orale kurde à Paris, d'être parmi nous aujourd'hui. Nous dédions la journée d'intervention d'aujourd'hui à nos amis kurdes, une fois de plus confrontés aux derniers tremblements de terre en Turquie et en Syrie qui ont causé une grande perte de leurs familles et leur proches.
