INDISCIPLINARY LANDSCAPES/LANDSCAPES OF EQUALITY
TALK WITH JACQUES RANCIERE, GUERILLA UNIVERSITY AUSTRIA, 23. 10. 2021 KÜNSTLERHAUS, WIENFINAL COLLECTIVE EXPERIMENTAL SESSION OF THE COURSE “FREE TEMPORARY TERRITORIES – LEARNING FROM UNLEARNING” proposed by PHD IN ONE NIGHT PLATFORM OF AESTHETIC EDUCATION FOR ALL IN COLLABORATION WITH VARIOUS PARTNERS, HOSTED/CO-ORGANISED BY FLUSS - society for the promotion of photo and media art | lower austria "www.fotofluss.at”
Guerilla University by Phd in One Night and People Coming From NowHere is another way of exchanging knowledge. Guerilla University is learning from the present. Guerilla University is sending a postcard from free temporary territory without an exact address. Guerilla University is this imperfect self-thought and self-organized garden that we are planting despite the decree of interdiction on plantation. Guerilla University is the sound of the inaudible. Guerilla University is the magic of the obvious, Jean Painlevé's camera revealing the wonders of hidden details in the common world. Guerilla university is looking at stars without a telescope. Guerilla University is emancipating from dominant knowledge and healing from capitalist dogma, fear, competition, luck of time and perspectives. Guerilla University is considering learning as emancipatory collective creation. Guerilla University is unlearning the model of expertise and returning to the amateur position in the "garden of knowledge".Guerilla University is always experimenting.Guerilla University in collaboration with Rojava University is a common learning of freedom. -From the text- Guerilla University by PhD In One Night, school year 20/21.On October 20th 2020 PhD In One Night , the international platform for aesthetic education of all launched, in cooperation with Rojava University and colleagues and friends from various parts of the world – Guerilla University constructing together a new type of distant close community. J. Rancière opened the University with interviews and interventions in which participated: Andrejs Feld, Ivana Momčilović, Mansur Teifuri.
In Austria, during the ten days journey participants navigated from one to the another territory of knowledge and practice, creating at the end of the course a collective indisciplinary creation, putting in practice hypothesis of “poetics of knowledge”, “method of equality”, “equality of intelligences” and “indisciplinarity (J.Rancière).
